De- feet bullying day

Well done to Year 4 for their wacky foot wear combinations in support of the NSPCC. The class winner for the wackiest foot wear was Ryan. Well done Ryan!

A warm welcome to Year 4 to Louis. It's lovely to have you as a part of our class.

Happy half term

Just to wish you all a lovely half-term break.

The children had a fun day on Friday enjoying the chocolates which William had kindly brought in for Valentine's Day, as well as taking part in making their group's chocolate product as part of their IPC work.

Looking forward to seeing the children on 24 February.

Spin that wheel!

In English, the children enjoyed a competitive spin-the -wheel quiz to help them develop their use of causal connectives. Learning difficult grammar and word types can be such fun!

Debate: Should Year 4 have homework every night?!

As part of our work in English on using persuasive language techniques, the children  debated whether homework should be set every night! The challenge was to use persuasive language techniques (such as 'rule of 3', rhetorical questions and exaggeration) in their arguments. A particular well done to the children who had to argue in support of this motion!
